Students Taking Note

GED Classes at Howard Community Center

There are two GED classes. These classes aim to prepare students for the GED test. We have a PreGED Reading/Math class and a GED Reading/Math class. These classes are held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00AM to 1:00 PM (half reading half math).

All GED classes are IN PERSON and ONLINE.

We will not be registering from August 4-8

How do I register for GED Class?

Registration appointments are on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 9:30 and 10:00. We can accommodate limited walk-in registrants on those days as well.

All appointments are IN PERSON at Howard and Evanston Community Center.

In order to register, students must fill out an intake form, e-communications agreement, student agreement, media consent form, and sign an HSE release form. Potential students will then take a reading and math test to be placed into the correct class. If a class is full, students will be placed on a waitlist. They will be contacted when they can begin attending class.

*Due to demand, we can only accommodate students who can commit to coming to class at least three days a week*

Students can make a registration appointment here: Zoom Scheduler. We can also accommodate some walk-in registrants on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays before 10:30AM as well.
